August 30th, 1976 Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay inquired as to the progress on the construction _N/S Fire Hall constr. | & employment of the North Side Fire Hall, and Alderman Keryluk advised that nothing ‘ i 1 ; i : of additional * Firemen is progressing at the present time due to the Province-wide construction strike. Alderman Traboulay then inquired about the eight persons to be employed for the North Side Fire Hail which is not as yet completed, and the Fire Chief advised that one of these persons, having had previous training, is already on staff and the others will be following their Industrial First Aid examinations. Ald.Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay then inquired as to the progress on construction proposed Lincoln Ave. foot of the Lincoln Avenue foot bridge over Cedar ditch by Spani & Sons bridge Construction Co. Ltd. The City Administrator advised that this firm had just been given approval by the Department of Fisheries for some work in the ditch (which is a spawning creek), that is required, and as the Depart- ment is very reluctant to grant a time extension therefore beyond the l5th of September, he stated that he had urged Mr..Spani to get the project underway as soon as possible. 4 Ald. Keryluk re Alderman Keryluk inquired as'to whether or not Hyde Creek Pool was j leak problem—Hyde | Creek Pool back in operation, and the City Administrator advised that it was not because of the continuing problem with a leak which is presently being repaired by the Contractor. | Ald. Keryluk re Alderman Keryluk suggested that any persons who have an opportuultv landscaping- Hyde Creek to do so should view the landscaping recently completed at Hyde Creek Centre Centre, as it has been exceptionally well done. Ald. Keryluk re Alderman Keryluk stated he had recently been advised of a problem change in size - water lines concerning an amendment to the Plumbing Code in that the size of water from residential homes lines from residences that are connected to the City's feed-in lines has been changed from 1/2" to 3/4", and as it appears there are still some 1/2" City feed-in lines, he requested that the Engineering Department submit a report thereon to Council.
