The maximum helght of a billboard sign shall be 7.5 m (24.61 Feet).

(Z) A billboard sign may be illuninated, provided that the source of Light
is so shielded that no direct rays are visible elsewhere than on the sign and in
the immediate proxinity thereof. In no case ahall such illumination be animated.
6. Canopy Signs:

(a) The ainisum height of a canopy sign shall be 2.7 m (8.66 feet).

(>) No siga which ts pended from a py or marquee shall exceed a
vertical dinension of 200 om (0.66 feet).
(e) Ko sign which is located upon or attached to a canopy or marquee shall
extend er project abeve the upper edge of such canopy or carquee by more than
600 = (1.97 feet).
(a) Not nore than one canopy sign shall be erected for each place of business
servec by a canopy or marquee along a single street frontage.
Fecia Signs:
(a) No facia sign shall exrend beyond the horizontal width of the building
th.ch it is atcached.

Freestanding Signs:
fay (1) In the C-3 and C+4 Zones a freestanding sign may be located anywhere
the loc.
(ii) In all Zones except che C-3 and C-4 Zones no freestanding sign
e located closer than 1.5 m (4.92 feet) to any property line.

(3) Unless otherwise specified in this By-law, the maximua height of 2

freestanding sign shall be 7.5 m (24.61 feet).
(c) Unless othervise specified in this By-law, the maximum number and maxinum

areas of freestending signs (other than permitted directional, special purpose or

tesporary signs) permitted on any one lot shall be as follows:

(da) Notwithstanding subsection 8 (c) (1) and 8 (c) (2),

(1) each business in CS-1 Zone with a valid business license tay have

(i1)in C-2 Zone a maximum of three freestanding signs nay be permitted
on any property having an area in excess of 4000 a (1 acre) pro-
vided the distance from the adjacent freestanding sign on the sane

Electrical supply to freestanding signs to be of underground services.

Projecting Signs:

No projecting sign shall extend or project above the parapet of a
building or, where there is no parapet, above the roof line of the buiiding to
which it is attached by more than 600 mm (1.97 feer).

(b) The ninizum height of a projecting sign shall be 2.7 0 (8.86 feet).
(c) The area of a projecting sign shall not exceed 3.5 3 (37.67 squate feet).
(d) In Zone where they are Permitted, not more than one projection sign

shall be located on a building along each street which such building fronts.

10. Roof Signs:

(a) There shall be at least 1.2 m (3.94 feet) of unobstructed space between

any roof sign and ail exterior walls (except the fron: face) of the building upon

which such sign is located, measured péralle with che wall.

(b) No roof sign shall project nore than 300 ma(0.98 feet) horizontally froa

the front face of the building upon which such sign is locared,
