BOARD MEETING UPDATE At its November meeting, the financial slaternents for September and October were reviewed, and following dismussion it was agreed with regret to stay with the present commission rate of 50%. See the Treasurer's report below. A motion was passed to raise the Studio 5 monthly rental rate from $160 (as it has been for at least five years) to $200, to come into effect om May lst, 1994, when a new resident will take over. The rent includes a kiln, wheel and all electrical costs. Kersti Krug will step down from the Gallery Committee, due to pressures from her own work and studies: Linda Doherty will fill in as Chair at least until the AGM, The Board reviewed office and newsletter stalling situation, and (twas agreed to offer the job to Anna Bjarnasen for a January start. The date for the AGM was settled for Thursday, February 24th, 1994, The nominating committee, chaired by Fredi Rahn, will present its report in time for the December board gathering. and to be printed in the January newsletter, along with an agenda and any other business to be dealt with at the AGM.
