Arts Council is pleased
to present ‘‘Cinderella’’
by the Alberta Ballet
Company, a group of 23
‘professional dancers
from Edmonton §sup-
plemented by [5 young
dancers from the Terrace
Classical Ballet School
dancing the roles of
mice, rats and soldiers.

Music was composed
by Sergei Prokofiev.
Tickets are on sale at
Carter’s Jewellers in the
Skeena Mall and cost
$1.50 more at the door.
The production will be
staged Friday, April 25
at 8 p.m. in the REM Lee
' Theatre.

west Jazz, an instrumen-
tal jazz organization,
was one of the groups
chosen to perform at the

TERRACE — Cale-
donia Senior Secondary
School has been accepted
into the Governor
General’s school medal
program beginning in
1986. The local school
' becomes one of 750
secondary schools, col-
leges and universities in
Canada to qualify for
the eminent academic
award.

The Governor Gen-
eral’s bronze medal will
now be presented an-
nually to the top
academic student in the
Caledonia graduating
class) The medal is
struck by the Royal
Canadian Mint, and it is
engraved with the coat of
arms of Governor
General Jeanne Sauve.

The gold and silver
medals are presented at
universities and colleges
respectively,

B.C. Pavilion during Ex-
po 86.

Winners of the British
Columbia Talent Show-
case for Expo were pick-
ed in Terrace.
