Thornhill surprised - everyone on the boys’ side by coming in first, Kitimat ‘A’ grabbed third, followed by Rupert’s Booth, Nishga - girls’ and Kitimat ‘B’. For the girls, Kitimat ‘A’ came first while Kitimat ‘B’ ended up third. Thornhill was fourth, followed by Booth and Nishga. Grade eight boys and girls took their action to Prince Rupert. In the round-robin sec- tion, the host Booth ‘team won four in a row. Grade eight boys and girls, plus senior girls ran a 24% mile circuit. Three girls from Chandler Park of Smithers Claire Chowan, Jenny Gull and Laura Taylor — placed first, second and third respectively in the Grade eight run. For the Grade eight boys, Shawn Wa- bigwan of Houston was first, followed by Peter Hind of Chandler Park and Vance Colbert of Hazelton. In senior girls, Heather Colbert of Hazelton was the win- ner. Rhonda Peterson and Karen McDermitt, both of Chandler Park, were next in that order. Jagroop Takhar, of Houston beat out James Feldman. of Burns Lake by three seconds in the senior boys 3% mile run. Bill McIntyre of Smithers was third. In the three-team junior boys’ soccer series at Kitimat, the host team downed Skeena 3-0 and beat Booth 3-0.
