HARPS OF | ALL KINDS | The harp is one of the most baste of musical instruments, and although: most listeners associate the harp with a western orches- tral concert setting, it isn’t too surprising that they have devel- oped in a variety of forms all over the globe. . ‘Terrace music fans can get a feel for the breadth of harpdom tomorrow night with the appear- ance of Harps International, a trio of musicians bearing numerous and varied kinds of harps. BON VOYAGE The Terrace branch of Cana- dian Parents for French held their annual Concours d'Art Oraéoire in the Caledonia school lecture the- atre March 12, selecting five French Immersion students who are now eligible to go to Vancouver for the provincial com- petition at the University of B.C. April 4. They are Sam Schachner (Grade 6), Kathleen Gook (Grade 7), David Norman (Grade 8), Jocelyn Coxford (Grade 9) and Tasha Young (Grade 10). In the younger grades the winners were’ Kali Webber (Grade 4) and Keira Almas (Grade 5), who both received French books as _ prizes.
