A regular meeting of the Municipal Counci! of The Corporation of the City of
Port Coquitlam was held in the "Campbel! Room", Best Western Poco Motor Inn,
1545 Lougheed Highway, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, October 19th, 1987, at
7:50 Dem.

His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, Jed.
Keryluk, G.R.» Laking, W.W. Stewart and M.R. Wright in attendance.

Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A.
Freeman, Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown, City Treasurer J.G,
Maitiand, City Engineer F.E. Peters, Parks and Recreation Director K.J. Taylor,

and Fire Chief J.E. Boileau.

SPECIAL PRESENTATION:

Fire Chief J. Boileau introduced Fire Chief for a Day Brandon Siu from
Birchtand Elementary School.

That the minutes ‘of the Regular Council Meeting held on October 5th, 1987
and the Special Council Meeting of October 13th, 1987, be taken as read and

adopied.

DELEGATION:

Mayor Traboulay introduced Ms. Rhegan White, Director of Membership
‘Tourism Vancouver who spoke regarding Tourism Vancouver's program and gave
update of G.V.R.D. Municipalities! response.

Moved by ‘Alderman Gates:
seconded by Alderman Wright:

That City Council contribute to Tourism Vancouver ‘for 1988. up to an amount
of $2,476, as calculated in Option 6, outlined inthe G.V.R.D-; report submitted
to Council, to be paid from General Revenue.

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution.

Seconded by Alderman Laking:

That G.V.R.D.'s cost sharing option to help fund Tourism Vancouver
referred to the Economic Development Committee for further study and report
Council at the meeting’ of November 2nd, 1987.

Carried.
Aldermen Gates and Wright
voted against the resolution.
