and advising that it was agreed Public Meetings be held on the issue of
Fluoridation to determine whether or not a plebiscite should be held
thereon this year. Alderman Keryluk stated he felt this was one of the
best directions the G.V.R.D. has taken to deal with a highly controversial
issue. Alderman Traboulay commented that Mayor Campbell would be representing
him at the Board of Health's Convention in Vancouver on September 14th,
1976, and that the very first resolution to the Board is calling for
fluoridation.

f Avenue, and advising that in setting a price thereon, the Committee

considered that the portion of Ulster Street to the South was sold to

the G.V.R.D. at $1.50 per square foot two years ago with the current

rate for this type of development being in the neighbourhood of $100,000.00
per acre; therefore, it is recommended that the subject property be sold

to Humford Developments for a rate of $2.35 per square foot.

its intersection with Prairie Avenue, containing 17,556 square feet, be
closed to traffic and sold to Humford Developments Led. at the rate of

$2.35 per square foot for a total selling price of $41,256.00.
