As you know, the Grsoter Vancouver Regional District
hes undertaken housing 03 one of Its functions and the Housing Department
fs now commancing operctions,

Although general guidance ond help will be given by the
municipal representotives on the Board, the personal assistance of all individ-

wil cities ond municipalities will be required fo make the programme work to
all of our advantages.

The suggested methods of development ere varied and
will be put into operation in the near future; however, any progromme of
canstruction has one major, very essential prerequisite before it con
commence - thot Is, of course, the availability of land.

tt is felt that each city or municipality will hove within
its portfolio Jand which ts suitable for housing ond which is elther thus zoned
of may be rezoned without too much difficulty.

The Housing Committee would be groteful if it could be
made oware of any such parcels of land within your City end which your
Council would be prepared to sell to the Regional District at market price.

We would, thazefore, appraciote you having your Planning
Consultants send details of any such iand within your City to the attention of
William E. Casson, Director of Housing, G Vv Regional District.
