Liquor Stores > Beer Parlors The spécial meeting of the Board of ‘| Trade held on Tuesday evening of last week turned out to be a very lively af- fair. The meeting was called for the purpose of ‘deciding on- resolutions to be submitted to the Associated. Boards of Trade meeting to be held in Prince George on Sept. 3 and 4. Allen urging the Provincial Govern- nent to shut down the Nquor vendors’ stores and the beer parlors during the Winter’ months in order that the mo- Jey usually spent in liquor could be de- voted to lessening the distress occas- ioned by . unemployment. My. Turner vigorously opposed the resolution and there was a keen discussion, When the resolution was put to a vote it was a tie an€é the chairman was called on ‘Ito vote.
