Fana Soro is a hereditary master of the balafon, West Africa’ big wooden xy-
lophone. Fana toured internationally with the prestigious Ballet Nationale de
Cote d'Ivoire for 9 years and then spent 7 years in Scandinavia touring throu-
ghout the school system. For the past 13 years, Fana has established himself in
Canada as a performer, musician, dancer, teacher and most importantly as a
cultural ambassador and community builder through the joy of being himself- a
man sharing his positive spirit with others.
