SUBJECT:

That the City of Port Coquitlam approve the reconstruction of the pedestrian bridge over
the Cedar drainage ditch located west of Cedar Elementary School at an estimated cost of
$12,429. |

That $172,429 be allocated from the 1991 Public Works Capital Fund for this purpose.

Manag r regarding the reconstruction of the pedestrian bridge crossing the Cedar drainage ditch —
_west of Cedar Elementary School. |

_ The pedestrian bridge would be upgraded to meet the BC Building Code standards for wheel
chair access. | |

There is a difference in elevation of approximately six feet between the existing bridge and the
_ ground level to the west of the bridge. The ramp is designed te a grade of four percent with a
_ four foot barrier fence on either side of the ramp. The total cost is estimated to be $12,429, —
