ee Environment to undertake a full environmental assessment of the py
nd . marine transport of oil from the Port of Vancouver, and . . aor

That copies of this request be sent to the elected officials named
in the attached letter from Bob Bossin, Dr. Suzuki, and Dr.

Thompson, as well as to the elected officials representing the City
in the Federal and Provincial governments. .

BACKGROUND AND COMMENTS: . . —

The Committee was in recelpt of the attached correspondence urging that . 7
Council write to the Federal Minister of Environment requesting a full ‘
environmental assessment of the marine transport of oil from the Port of ;
Vancouver. The Committee Supports this request and recommends that Council :

approve the above recommendations.
