Eng., PILE: Pwo 01/17/89 , City Engineer S#22/88 SUBJECT: Rezoning Application - 1946 Pitt River Road (Public Works Committee Meeting January 17, 1989 Recommendation: That Rezoning Bylaw No. 2399 receive third and final reading on the condition that access to the duplex lot to be created be from Pitt River Road. Background and Comments: os Council at its regular meeting of January 9th, 1989 referred the alleged Ae parking and traffic problems resulting from the rezoning of 1946 Pitt River - Road to the Public Works Committee for further consideration, The Public Works Committee considered this matter taking into account the a existing condition of Warwick Avenue. The Committee is not of the opinion that the creation of an additional duplex lot would generate the extent of traffic and parking problems on Warwick Avenue as stated by the local residents at the Public Hearing. The Committee did recognize that restricting access for the two new lots to Warwick would increase the traffic on that Street somewhat. A compromise is suggested such that the single family lot Will access onto Warwick while the duplex lot will access onto Pitt River Road. T.M. Chong, City Engineer
