Alderman Wright suggested requesting a schedule from the Minister of Highways regarding putting in a new road. Moved by Aiderman Ranger: Seconded by Alderman Mabbett: That the City of Port Coquitlam advise the Minister of Transportation and Highways, the Honourable A.V. Fraser, that the City of Port Coquitlam are in favour of the proposed east-west road between Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam through Riverview. Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution Alderman Gates proposed the following amendment to the resolutton. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the resolution include the following words: AND THAT the City of Port Coquitlam ask the District of Coquitlam for clarification of thelr position on the proposed east-west road between Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam through Riverview. Carried. Alderman Mabbett voted against the amendment resolution. The question was then called on the resolution. Fraser, that the City of Part Coquitlam ds in favour of the proposed cast-west road between Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam through Riverview; AND THAT the City of Port Coquitiam ask the Distrdec of Coquitlam for clarification of thedr posfteden on the proposed east-west road between Port Coquitlam and Coquitlam through Riverview.
