The Planning Officer spoke to By~luws Nos. 1501 and 1502, under which the proposed developments will be regulated, and advised that the buildings, to be constructed in Stages, will accommodate multi-tenant warehousing. Alderman Keryluk expressed concern that the Properties could be sold to other developers after the zoning has been approved; however, the Planning Officer advised that the sites would have to be developed according to the Land Use Contracts, regardless of ownership. Mr. E.R. Anderson, representing the developers of the site located at 1680 Broadway, was present and advised he did not anticipate a change of ERE Ain reer eae a at ee TE pe re Mme een, ownership since the property is being developed for rental purposes, The City Engineer advised that under the terms of the Land Use Contracts, the developers will be required to install water and sanitary sewer services along the full width of their properties on Broadway and deposit in trust half the cost of constructing Broadway to industrial street standards, including covering of the ditch. Mrs. Lefrancois was in attendance and advised that she and Ms. Karen Hampton, representing School District No. 43 (Coquitlam), had participated in the "British Columbia Conference on the Family", and that one of the recommendations made at a further Assembly in Richmond, was to proclaim the month of May as Family Month, in an effort to help improve the quality of familly living.
