lots adjacent to park land lying between Fox and Lancaster Streets be

proceeded with, and that when completed, these sites be offered for sale

at an upset price of $16,500.00 each. WITHDRAWN.

Prior to the question being called on the foregoing resolution,

Alderman Mabbett pointed out that there is a strip of Fox Street that
is absolutely useless, as this street is 100! wide and suggested that
the Committee again review the matter to determine whether or not this
strip could be incorporated with the other property, thus creating a
block of land, including another lot at the corner of Davies Avenue and
Fox Street. Alderman Laking stated he agreed with the suggestion made
by Alderman Mabbett, and he then withdrew his motion.

City Adm.re equip. From the City Administrator, April 11th, 1975, advising that it

purchase - B.C.
Assessment would appear the B.C. Assessment Authority is moving toward consolidation

Authority

of their three Assessment Departments in School District #43, and that

he had assumed they would be purchasing all of the items of equipment

presently being used by the Department; however, in a communication from

the Area Assessor, it was indicated they only wish to purchase certain items.
The City Administrator, in his report, stated it concerned him that

the Department would not purchase all of the equipment and furnishings

as there is a fair amount of value remaining in some of the equipment,

although the City will be able to absorb some of it; further, with

regard to the lease of the building, the City was committed to a year's

lease which runs through until September; however, the Assessment Authority

has indicated they will not leave the City obligated for the remaining

portion.
