weird cases involving animal
cruelty and wanton destruction
of animal life but the present
cases involying beavers and
their destruction. are probably
the most senseless that he has

uncovered. The score so far is:

One Grandad Beaver shot in the
trail by the Beaver Dam and
left to rot there; one dog injured
in a trap; one‘fox caught in
another trap. Five large beaver
traps were picked. up in the

beaver pond area which Is alse:

one of these traps could have
injured a child. I- asked Tom
what he could make of the
situation and he replied, “There
are no fur bearing animals in
this area worth trapping at this
time of year. I can only assume

that this is the work,of some .
