Hilling, » traffic tie-ups- i trains block— Superintendent, Canadian Pacific Railway Company, today regarding the ing level i erossings ;, Adjournment problem of traffic tie-ups at level crossings, particularly on Pitt River Road and Kingsway Avenue, and Mr. Hilling informed him that in accommodating the Canadian Nationa] Railway Company following damage to its train bridge over the Fraser River in New Westminster, the number of trains using that line had increased from 12 to 32 per day; therefore, until repairs to the bridge are completed, Mayor Campbell suggested that motorists try to use che Lougheed Highway route rather than those along Pitt River Road and Kingsway.
