July 26, 1993/231 Mr. Roddis, 1118 Ellis Drive expressed concem for a RS-3 zene (Estate Residential) not being consistent with the Riverwcod Plan. Mr. Roddis is not opposed to this specific application, but is concerned about the area as a whole. Ms. M. Bain, 1114 Ellis Drive expressed concern for animals and trees in the area, although she is not opposed to this specific development. Ms. S. Roberts, 1118 Ellis Drive expressed concerns regarding how the trees were cleared, as well as a hawk and her nest. Mr. Art Phillips, Hamilton & Associates, informed that the tree with the hawk’s nest is located on City property, and is still remaining. The property with the trees is owned by other developers; furthermore, some of the problems with maintaining trees in a floodplain area as the property elevations must be increased. Ms. A. Mull, 11721 Driftwood Drive, Maple Ridge expressed concem as to how the land was cleared. Mr. J. Seager, 1185 Dominion Avenue reiterated that trees have been gone for five years and that the property level has to be raised.
