INSPECTION REPORT
of August 21, 1990 i

The building is a two Storey wood frame structure approximately 5900 square
feet in area. It is over forty years old. The first floor was used as

mechantile (now vacant) and the: ‘second floor is used for residential
(partially occupied).

Az Scope of Inspection

This was a cursory inspection and the areas accessible at the time of
inspection were;

the exterior

the common corridor of the 2nd floor
the exit stairways
first floor area

Deficiencies in Common Corridors

inadequate lighting

integrity of corridor fire separation is destroyed by openings
handrails are not continuous at the stairs

exterior stairs

(i) Structurally unsound and extensive rot

(ii) “loose guardrails

exterior deck and roof over exterior stairs

(i) structurally unsound and rotted

Plumbing (seen at exterior)

several leaks in sanitary piping

Sawer vented below window openings
Piping is not protected from freezing
unsupported piping

water pipes leaking

Sanitary pipe are vented to the interior

First Floor Area

The ceiiing membrane has collapsed from water damage. The fire separation

between. the mechantile and residential area has been destroyed in some
areas,

It is my opinion that the building is unsafe for occupancy in it's present
condition.
