March 7, 1988/061 A Public Hearing pursuant to Section 956 of the Municipal Act Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the "Campbell Room", Best Western PoCo Motor Inn, 1545 Lougheed Highway, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on Monday, March 7, 1988 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Alderman M.C. Farnworth, M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, W.W. Stewart, and R.H. Talbot in attendance. Also in attendance were City Administrator B.R. Kirk, City Clerk/Deputy City Administrator R.A. Freeman, City Engineer 1T.M. Chong, P.Eng., City Treasurer J.G. Maitland, Director of Community Planning W.A. Brown, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, and Secretary S. Rauh. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: His Worship Mayor LM. Traboulay advised the following proposed Bylaws would now be considered: Bylaw No. 2338: to rezone That certain parcel of land situated in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia which is more particularly described as: that part of Lot "A", District Lots 174 and 289, Group One, Plan 5719, New Westminster District, included within the heavy outline and identified as "Dart of Lot "A" Area To Be Rezoned” on the plan prepared by Peter T. Mason, BCLS, and dated the 2nd day of February, 1988 with an area of 1.459 ha, plus or minus from A-1 (Agricultural) to RS-2 (Small Lot Residential) and the Zoning Map of the “Port Coquitlam Zoning Bylaw, 1987, No. 2240" is hereby amended to reflect this rezoning. Letters were received from the following: Mr and Mrs. F. Nick, 2337 Lobb Avenue are not opposed to the proposed. development. They are concerned about Lobb Avenue which is in very poor condition now and will be expected to accommodate a heavier volume in the future. Mr. and Mrs. J. Knobbe, 2350 Lobb Avenue who wrote regarding the deteriorated condition of Lobb Avenue along with a request that Lobb Avenue be upgraded. Mr. and Mrs. Knobbe also expressed their dismay at learning the builders are required to post a bond for only $500.00. : Ms. V. Copeland, 2331 Lobb Avenue wrote regarding the poor condition of Lobb Avenue especially since construction has begun. Ms. Copeland would like to know when the road will be resurfaced and curbed. .
