THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM sas COUN A Bylaw to amend the "City of Port Coquitiam Fire Prevention Bylaw, 1968, No. 902", co JUN 27 1983 The Municipal Counci! of The Corporation ot the City of Port Coquitlam in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: Section 4 of the "City of Port Coquitiam Fire Prevention Bylaw, 1968, No. 902" as enacted by Bylaw No. 1975 igs repealed and the following substituted: "4. (a) Except 8S provided in clause (b) of this section it shal! be unlawful ‘for any person at any time to light, ignite, start, or knowingly permit, altow or cause to be lighted, ignited, or started, any outdoor fire of any kind whatsoever. (bb) An Officer. may issue @ special! written permit for open air burning of brush, .stumps, slash and light materials resulting from the clearing of. land. (c) No person to whom @ special written permit has been issued shal! on or in any fire use rubber tires, oil, tar, asphalt, shingles, battery boxes, plastic materials, or any similar material which may produce heavy black smoke and any Person to whom a specia! written permit has been issued shal] place a competent person in charge of such fire at all times while the same is burning or - Smoldering and shal! provide such. person with efficient appliances and equipment to effectively prevent the same from getting beyond contro! or causing damage or becoming dangerous and such person shall be kept in charge of such fire at all times until same is completely extinguished and the granting of a special written Permit shall not absoive the holder thereot from liability for any damage which may result from any such fire.
