The Committee reconsidered whether Kingsway Avenue should be treated with Calcium Lignosulfonate. In view of the heavy truck tratfic on the street and the continuous need to grade the shoulders, it was felt that Calcium Lignosulfonate would not be effective and the shoulders might be difficult to grade once the gravel! has set after dust treatment. | Committee recommends that we try a flush coat surface treatment on these shoulders at an estimated cost of about $3,000. There are some problems with the use of flush coat, one of which is that if pot holes develop, as they would if heavy traffic drives on the shoulder, these pot holes cannot be removed by ‘grading but must be patched. This will increase our maintenance costs. h Aes F.E. Peters., P. Eng.) City Engineer | i } | j naa en ae eer ee en TAR ei eaT oR haved Shes a gyarsoucuay ante ee Steno sitet wba tint
