February lst, 1982. ° A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chambers, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on February lst, 1982 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay, Aldermen M.D. Gates, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B.R. Kirk, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Director of Planning W. Brown and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Minutes: Jan. 25/82 Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on January 25th, 1982 be taken as read and adopted. Carried. His Worship Mayor L.M. Traboulay advised representatives of the Item #3 ~ . re Kinsmen Port Coquitlam Kinsmen Club were present and the Council generally Comm. Bldg. agreed that Item #3 on the Agenda regarding the proposed Kinsmen Community : Building should be discussed at this time. DELEGATIONS: The City Clerk advised a draft resolution had been prepared regarding the proposed Kinsmen Community Building and advised receipt of a memorandum dated February lst, 1982 from the City Administrator regarding the Kinsmen's requested changes to the draft resolution, following a meeting held on January 29th, 1982. Moved by Alderman Wright: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: WHEREAS the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam are desirous of constructing a Community building on Aggie Park at the intersection of Chester Street and Coquitlam Avenue; AND WHEREAS at its meeting of January llth, 1982 this Council gave concept approval to that proposal; AND WHEREAS further discussions have taken place between the Council and the representatives of the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlam; AND WHEREAS it is thought desirable to outline, on a preliminary basis, the nature of the Agreement that will be entered into by the City and the Kinsmen Club of Port Coquitlan;
