Campbell being a proposal for a letter to Inspector Mayor Campbell's proposat ror M.A. Young expressing Council's appreciation for the six and one half Young M.A. years of service he has given to the community as Officer Commanding Coquitiam Detachment Royal Canadian Mounted Police. Moved by Alderman Traboulay: Seconded by Alderman Laking: That as proposed by Mayor J.M. Campbell a letter be sent to Inspector M.A. Young expressing Council's appreciation for the six and one half years of service he has given to the community as Officer Commanding Coquitlam Detachment Royal Canadian Mounted Police; AND THAT a copy of the letter be sent to Attorney-General Garde Gardom, Q.C. and to Solicitor-General Jean-Jacques Blais, P.C., M.P. Centre Ext. Pactners, Architects regarding an increase in price and recommending that Council rescind the motion of the Council meeting of June 12th, 1978 awarding the contract to D. H. Construction and now award the contract to the lowest bidder, Dick Heinen Construction Ltd. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That the resolution passed by this Council on June 12th, 1978 wherein the tender for the construction of the addition to the Port Coquitlam Senior Citizens' Centre for which tenders closed at 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 5th, 1978 was awarded to D.H. Construction Ltd. in the total amount of $223,937.00, including Separate Price "A" and Separate Price "B'" be and the same is hereby rescinded. Carried. Alderman Tra” ‘ay voted against the resolution.
