NEITHER SNOW nor wind kept Terrace residents
from bringing their recyclables to the Skeena Mall
last Saturday, for the tong awaited recycling day.
However the organizers —- Kitimat Understanding
the Environment — couldn't make it to Terrace
that day because of bad road conditions. So mall
maintenance man Tony Ippel chipped in to help
Joad the truck in lieu of the volunteers.

NDP leadership race

Fulton won’t

FORMER SKEENA NDP MP Jim Fulion isn't interested
in running for the leadership of the provincial New Demo-
crais.

Speaking last weck, Fulton said he has other demands on
his time and resources,

"No. Not this time,’ said Fulton who had been lagged
as a possible contender for the provincial NDP top job,

But that doesn’t mean Fulton won't work for or support a
new leader, '

“To be fair, | want to see who will enter the race,’” he
said.

Fulton now works for the David Suzuki Foundation, a
Vancouver-based euviranmental think tank which secks to
blend development with environmental considerations.

“Pll be in favour of anybody who wants sustainable de-
velopment,’’ Fulton added.
