Lit- - ~ tle Theatre put on a cabaret-style evening was with their spring 1988 production of ‘‘Couch Potato”. That play was co- directed by Ken Morton and _ Merry Hallsor. Merry Hallsor is the daughter of two founding members of the Terrace Little Theatre, Bud and Loreen McColl. The Terrace Little Theatre began in 1953. In the early days, they performed wherever they could find a space. They presented many cof- fee houses in the Arena Banquet Room, the Anglican. Church Hall (now DeFrane’s Funeral Home) and the old Anglican Church Chapel (where the B:C. Access Centre is now located). In 1975, they, purchaséd .the old Zion Baptist Church ‘and converted it into the Terrace Lit- tle Theatre. Last year, the name was changed to recognize one of Back b y popular demand! its founders,. Loreen McColl. The theater building is. now called the McColl Playhouse..: Since its origin in 1953, -more than 75 productions have been . presented by the Terrace Little Terrace, oo Cast and crew of “‘The Art. of War’? are presently in a frenzy of activity at the McColl Play- Theatre to the community of ‘house. Rehearsals are on every night. Stages are being erected. The theater has been painted black from floor to ceiling.
