ty is ADDN Singh By My bs valent SUGGESTED IMPROVEMENTS AND COMMENTS: 1) Restricting left turn movements at Lougheed and Hastings in the morning rush hour as suggested in the letter. This suggestion could be implemented with signage only at the intersection noted however: policing the intersection would be difficult placing barrier's or a median is not feasable for two hours only industrial area would suffer ag truck traffic would have to enter off of Westwood adding to an already congested Lougheed /Westwood intersection in the AM peak hours 2) Restricting right curn movements at Westwood and Davies in the afternoon rush hour as suggested. This suggestion can also be implemented with signage only with the following comments: would also be hard to police again the industrial area traffic suffers by having to take a circuitous route in the evening rush hour access to the townhouse complex at the corner of Fox and Davies would mean having to travel an additional 2 KM to get home 3) Barricading Davies at Raliegh as suggested in the letter. This suggestion is by far the most radical as the repercusaions would be felt by all who live and work in this area. The following are reasons that this suggestion and the two noted above should not he implemented: emergency response time would increase to the west and east end of Davies the industrial area east of the barricade would certainly oppose any idea of closing the road as the road is classified as a collector, the RTAC manual states that this type of road ig to carry traffic between local and arterial roads, the two arterial streets being Lougheed and Westwood also from the RTAC manual, traffic volumes can range between 1000 and 12,000 vehicles per day for this road classification (see attached excerpt from RTAC manual)
