A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of - the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on October 26th, 1981 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking, Aldermen M.D. Gates, J.J. Keryluk, E.W. Mabbett, A.K. Muldoon, L.M. Traboulay and M.R. Wright in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer B. Kirk, City Port Coquitlam Clerk R.A. Freeman, Acting-City Planner A. Phillips and Recording Secretary D. Vyse. CONFIRMATION OF MINUTES: Moved by Alderman Mabbett: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the minutes of the regular meeting of this Council held on October 19th, 1981 be taken as read and adopted, Carried. His Worship Mayor G.R. Laking introduced the new City Administrator Mr. Bryan Kirk and welcomed him to the City. DELEGATIONS: Mr. Harold Routley was in attendance and made a presentation to Council expressing his concerns regarding the flood potential of the Coquitlam River and referred to the Widgeon Lake diversion and the need for protection of the fish. Alderman Mabbett advised he represents the City on the Greater Vancouver Water and Waste Committee and reported on the Committee's proposals which will be placed before the Board of Directors on Wednesday, October 28th, 1981. BY-LAWS: Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That By~law No. 1845 be reconsidered, finally passed and adopted. Carried.
