. - THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF PORT COQUITLAM C 0 . . MEMORANDUM U \ C AUG 25 1980 TO: Mayor and Council August 21st, 1980 SEP 8 4989 FROM: F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Acting City Administrator Re: B.C. Fire Investigation School Les Schumacher, our Fire Prevention Officer, has requested permission to attend the B.C. Fire Investigation School which is being held at Parksville from September 22nd to 26th, 1980. The school is designed to teach the investi- gation and suppression of arson and as this is directly related to the work which Les is required to do, it would be quite useful for him to attend. The course fee is $50.00 plus $44.00 per day for accommodation and food at the live-in school. In considering this application Council should be aware that Les has attended the B.C. Fire Prevention Officers' Convention as well .as an Arson Investigation Association Seminax this year. Nevertheless, I feel that this course would be useful to Les and it does tie in with courses he has been taking on his own. . y F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Acting City Administrator.
