Traboulay Alderman Traboulay referred to a memorandum from the City Administrator : re ICBC Premiums, -ete.-City concerning I.C.B.C. rates, wherein it was stated that the total premium ? Vehicles i for the City’s fleet this year amounts to $26,493. as compared to $12,241. mee Mayes! for the same vehicles last year - with many of the vehicles being insured for collision at $200.00 deductible, whereas last year the deductible for this coverage was $100.00. Alderman Traboulay then queried the basis of the City Administrator's suggestion in the last paragraph of his memorandum that collision coverage not be carried on many vehicles, and the City Administrator advised this would be assessed more on exposure than on value; however, it may be better in some instances to increase ; the deductible from $200.00 to say, $500.00 or $1,000.00. Aid. Traboulay re Alderman Traboulay stated he had observed persons crossing the X/walk location & . X/walk light~— street to the bus stop just North of the crosswalk on Shaughnessy Street e Shaughnessy St. at Lions Way at Lions Way, and he suggested that the crosswalk be moved further North j to avoid this problem; however, Alderman Thompson advised that the B.C. Hydro had rejected an earlier proposal to install the crosswalk North of its present location due to the danger of people running in front of or behind the buses ~ depending on which side of the street they were cross— ing to.
