This is definitely not where ‘Howard Hughes would have stayed, The ‘E’ of its neon sign will never be fixed; in fact the ‘Hot 1 Baltimore” has its problems as you will see. The author, Langford Wilson, has picked an im- portant day in the lives of the characters in his play. They have just received some information which will . change each person’s future ‘and we, the audience, watch their reactions to this new knowledge. Despite the shabb surroundings and the hars realities of life the play itself is primarily a comedy. The comedy is provided verbally by the ‘juicy’ April Green whose pragmatic remarks are priceless. April is played by Jane Petch who. also acted. with the Terrace Little Theatre in “Plaza Suite”. More laughs are provided by old Mr. Morse, played by Don MacLeod who will never be forgotten as the ridiculous ‘Con - stable Fusion’? of the Royal Dismounted Police in the fall. melodrama. Millie, a rather elegant retired resident may strike you as being quite ordinary, at first, but she is not, Lorna Morton, who played the mother in “Goodnight Mrs. Puffin’’, will be Millie. Marlene Xenis, who, portrayed a clever country girl in “The Village Wooing” is in a completely different role this time. She is now Suzy, an alluring prostitute who likes champagne. Suzy’s ‘john’ is Glen Grieve, new to the theatre, but well known to the Terrace Coffee House and for his opening of the Sylvia Tyson Show, recently. ; Like Suzy, April Green is also a prostitute, and both, use obscene language and slang in accordance with their backgrounds, per- sonalities and general speech. habits. The. content of the play is also definitely ‘mature’ entertainment. There are, naturally “'no yvacancies”’ at the Baltimore right now but on the ard, 4th and 5th of March and the 10th, 11th and 12th of March ‘guests’ will be_ welcomed. Performance is at 8 p.m. Places will be limited so-for ‘reservations phone Bett Stewart at 635-2435 or chec ‘in on any of the above evenings. Price — $3. The Green Room Lounge will be open from 7:30 to 8, during intermission and after thé performance until 12 a.m. “He that can endure all can dare all,” Vauvenargues HSRDWARE STORES cere 2-2 4606 Lazelle Ave. “ el Various patterns Pampas Snowhite Regency The Hunter Old Country Castles Morello | Chantilly Everglade Cloister _ Myott 20 pce.
