City Engineer SUBJECT: 1992 Revenue Sharing Highways Grant Application (Public Works Committee Meeting of December 3, 1991) That the City of Port Coquitlam submit an application for a 1992 Revenue Sharing Grant to the Ministry of Transportation & Highways for the following projects: l. Reconstruction of Coast Meridian Road from Prairie Avenue to Patricia Avenue at an estimated project cost of $1,000,000 - Grant amount is $500,000. Reconstruction of Kingsway Avenue from Westwood Street to the Coquitlam River at an estimated project cost of $1,200,000 - Grant amount is $600,000. The Ministry of Transportation & Highways requires that the 1992 Revenue Sharing Highways Grant Applications be submitted by Municipalities prior to December 31, 1991. Under this program the Province would fund 50% of eligible projects. The Public Works Committee considered the attached memorandum from the Deputy City Engineer and recommends that the reconstruction of Coast Meridian Road receive the highest priority and that the reconstruction of Kingsway Avenue be submitted as the second highest priority project.
