H bat n'y scans an Beata, Residents were opposed to redesigning the Kitchener/Westwood intersection to allow northbound traffic onto Woodland. This was proposed by B.C. Transit in Option 3. B.C. transit indicated that ridership through the Westwood area was 20-25 persons per day which was enough to justify continued service through the neighbourhood. Many residents at the meeting were in favour of option 1, which would have buses by-passing the Westwood area entirely. B.C. Transit expressed concern that if option 1 was implemented the walking distance to bus stops on Westwood or Lougheed may be too great for the elderly or disabled. Andrew de Boer Project Engineer
