From New Westminster and District Labour Council, March 27th, 1989 regarding "A Day of Mourning”. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Farnworth: That April 28th, 1989 be designated "A Day of Mourning” a. requested by the New Westminster and District Labour Council in recognition of the workers killed, injured and disabled in the workplace each year, and that city employees may observe a one minute silence at the workplace at 11:00 a.m. on this day. Carried. REPORTS: From the Director of Community Planning, March 28th, 1989 regarding Rezoning Application File No. 14/89 for 1610 Kebet Way. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: That City Council direct the Clerk's office to prepare a bylaw rezoning Lot 30 of D.L. 231, Group 1, NWLD Plan 80345 from M-1 Industrial to C.D. to provide for the development of a building to house the B.C. Trucking Association. Carried. From the Director of Community Planning, March 29th, 1989 regarding Duplex Lot Rezoning Sand Castle Phase Two ~ Rezoning file No. 15/89. Moved by Alderman Gates: Seconded by Alderman Keryluk: THAT the Clerk's Office be directed to prepare a bylaw rezoning a portion of Rem E and Block 14 of D.L. 168 an NWLD Plan 2261 except that AVN hI WL ivetia a portion subdivided under Plan 79396 from RT-1 to RS-2. AND THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to initial an amendment to the developer's agreement for this subdivision including the change of zoning. Carried.
