Recommendation:

That the City of Port Coquitlam participate in the G.V.R.D.

Anniversary Celebration in the following manner:

a) That the City Council will participate in the official
of Wnite Pine Beach on June 14th, 1987.

b) That the Parks & Recreation brochure announce the 20th
Anniversary events.

c) That the Parks & Recreation Department will participate in the
organization of some kind of activity.

Background & Comments:

Attached is a letter from the G.V.R.D. outlining their requests.
The Committee has discussed the City's involvement and suaqgested
that an event such as a barrel roll or a log roll would be appro-
priate for Council members to participate in. The aspect of
giving a one year pass to one of our recreation facilities was
turned down.
