WHEREAS under and by virtue of Section 200 of the "Muntedpal Act" being Chapter 255 of the Revised Statues of British Columbia, 1960, and Amendments thereto, the Council may by by-law provide for paying out ef the annual revenue an indemnity to the Mayor and Aldermen of The . Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, and may provide that a portion of the said indemnity to be paid to the Mayor and Aldermen shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of their respective offices; . NOW THEREFORE the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, in open meeting assembled, enacts as follows: 1. During the period extending from the First day of Januar;, 1980 to the first Monday after the First day of December, 1980, there shall be paid to the Mayor of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam, an indemnity of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,900.00) per annum of which said indemnity the sum of Six Thousand Six Hundred Sixty~ six Dollars and Sixty-six Cents ($6,666.66) shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. 2. , During the period extending from the First day of January, 1980 to the first Monday after the First day of December, 1980, there shall be paid to each of the Aldermen of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlaw, an indemnity of Six Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Dollars ($6,450.00) per annum of which said indemnity the sum of Two Thousand Orie Hundred Fifty Dollars ($2,150.00) shall be paid as an allowance for expenses incidental to the discharge of the duties of his office. 3. The indemnity provided for in Sections 1 and 2 hereof shall be paid by the City Treasurer in cleven equal monthhy installments during the months of January through November, inclusiwe, to the person or persons entitled to receive same without further order or resolution of the Council save ond except as provided in Section 4 of this By-law. 4.
