Speaking’ to the foregoing resolution, Alderman Thompson stated he Felt
that the twe businessmen involved, namely, Mz. N.oPruefer, the owner of

Prufer's Mens vw «+ and Mr. John Galer, the owner of Coquitlam Transfer, should

be invited to the meeting as well. fis Worship the Mayor suggested that Sub-

Inspector Young be invited to the next Council Committee meeting, along with

‘these two individuals, for a discussion on this matter. Alderman Laking

stated he felt that Sub-Inspector Young skould be requested to ask Staff

Sergeant D.3. Williams to be present also.

His Worship the Meyor then appointed a Committee of Aldermen Mabbett,
Laking, and himself to meet with the Sub-Inspector.

From the Municipal Officers' Association of British Columbia, January 3rd,
1973, enclosing a letter of congratulatious sent to Mrs. Joan Fraser, an

employee of the City of Port Coquitlam, for having received the highest

. Marks in the fourth year of the Accounting/Finance section of the University

meeting

of B.C. Municipal Administration Course, in addition to being the leader in
the third year, which ds a most enviable record. The City Clerk commented

that Mrs. Fraser has achieved this record on completion of the first and

“second years of the course as well.

His Worship. the Mayor, on behalf of all the members of the council, ex-
pressed congratulations to Mrs. Fraser on this latest of several honours won
in the Municipal Administration Course field.

From the Lower tainland Municipal Association, being advance notice of a
meeting to be held on Wednesday, February 7th, 1973 in the Centennial Room -.

Chimce Pool, 620 Poirier Street, Coquitlam. Alderman Laking advised that at

this meeting the election of officers for 1973 would take place and that re-

ports to the Executive of the Committees to make recommendations concerning
the method of selecting nominees to the U.B.C.M. executive and to study. past
U.B.C.M. conventicns and make recommendations to improve future conventions,

would be discussed.
