Though northern com- petitive teams are rare outside Smithers, the Bulkley Valley ladies net- ball team won the gold medal at the B.C. Winter Games in 1995, ; The games have not featured the sport since 1996... Eligible players must be 13 years of age as of Feb. 24,. 2000 and under 19 as of Jan. 1, 2000 and a B.C. resident for at least three months prior to the games. All teams must qualify in as-yet-unscheduled play- offs later this year. The deadline for entry is Dec, 4, 1999.
