Jan. 27/82 re Appl'n for Alderman Laking suggested that Council not approve development in Dev. — south end of Pitt the Pitt River Road and Harbour Drive area until such time as the Community River Rd. Plan for the area is in place. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Wright: That Council not approve development in the Pitt Fiver Road Harbour Drive area until such time as the Community Plan for the in place. Defeated. Aldermen Laking and Wright voted in favour of the resolution. Moved by Alderman Mabbett: That Council not approve any development in the area of Pitt River Road and Harbour Drive until such time as the Mary Hill Bypass construction is almost complete and until the City has scheduled in its budget the extension of a watermain to this area along the Mary Hill Bypass. Lost for want of a seconder. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That the City Engineer's January 27th, 1982 memorandum concerning applications for development at the south end of Pitt River Road, be received. Carried. City Eng., Jan. 28/82 re Drainage. From the City Engineer, January 28th, 1982 regarding possible drainage improvements. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Gates: That the old Dominion Avenue Pump Station not be reconnected to B.C. Hydro lines. Carried. Moved by Alderman Laking: Seconded by Alderman Muldoon: That a portable electric generator with sufficient capacity to operate the Dominion Avenue Pump Station be purchasel with funds to come from the Sewer Utility budget. Carried.
