Janna Taylor, Parks & Recreation Director SUBJECT: Fencing - Thompson Park Recommendation 1. That the fencing for the pony and colt diamond as outlined in the attached diagram, be approved. 2. That the estimated cost of the fencing at $7,825.00 will be paid for by the Port Coquitlam Minor Baseball Association. 3. That a letter of thanks to the PoCo Minor Baseball Association be sent, Background & Comments Earlier this year the Parks & Recreation Department staff met with the PoCo Minor Baseball Association to discuss several items of mutual concern to each organization. One of the areas of concern was the construction of fencing at both the pony and colt diamonds. The baseball association indicated that if the city would facilitate the ordering of the fencing that they would pay for the cost of the fencing and the installation. Attached is a letter from the association outlining their intent. It is this kind cf cooperation that enables the city to have first class facilities such as those at Thompson Park. Ch th hee K.
