A regular meeting of the Municipal Council of The Corporation of the City of Port Coquitlam was held in the Council Chamber, Port Coquitlam City Hall, 2272 McAllister Avenue, Port Coquitlam, B.C. on November 6th, 1978 at 7:30 p.m. His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell, Aldermen J.J. Keryluk, G.R. Laking, E.W. Mabbett, P.F. Ranger, M.A. Thompson and L.M. Traboulay in attendance. Also in attendance were Chief Administrative Officer L.D. Pollock, City Clerk R.A. Freeman, City Engineer F.E. Peters, P. Eng., Fire Chief W.S. Wingrove, City Treasurer J.G.S.. Maitland, Planning Officer L. Lee, Recreation Director K.J. Taylor, and Mrs. D.L. Vyse. ZONING PUBLIC HEARING: Zoning Public Hearing: His Worship Mayor J.M. Campbell advised the meeting the following ‘proposed Zoning By-law No. 1628 would now be considered. By-law No. 1626: B/L #1628 _ Cit £ Pt. To repeal the "City of Port Coquitlam Zoning By-law, 1969, No. 918" Coq. Zoning By-law. and to also repeal all By-laws of the City of Port Coquitlam passed in amendment to the said By-law No. 918. In substitution for the provisions contained in the By-laws repealed the proposed Zoning By-law wil. contain certain provisions: (a) dividing the municipality into zones; (b) regulating the use of land, buildings, and structures within “such zones3$ (c) regulating the size, shape, and siting of buildings and structures within :such zones 3 regulating certain other matters such as may be lawfully regulated ‘in a Zoning By-law. The provisions of the proposed Zoning By-law will affect all land, buildings, and structures, located within the corporate limits of the _City of Port Coquitlam. The Planning Officer explained the new Zoning By~law advising that two new zones had been included - RT~1 for duplexes, and RS~1A for residential lots 4,000 sq. ft. in size with a mininum Frontage of 40 feet.
