Carried. purp From the Community Development Committee, May 6th, 1975, advising Comm.Dev.Com Par«x & Til~ that every year Park & Tilford Distilleries present an award to building ford Award projects in the Province that are distinctive from a point of view of design, landscaping or benefit to the community, mentioning that in the past the City has submitted names of new projects constructed in the community, and suggesting that the PoCo Valley Golf & Country Club be submitted this year. Members of Council generally agreed with the suggestion of the Committee, and the report was received for information. From the Community Development Committee, May 6th, 1975, concerning Comm. Dev.Com City lots- the sale of five 33' lots owned by the City on Fox Street that was Fox Street referred back to the Committee for further discussion, and suggesting that a pre-planning scheme of this land that has been prepared utilizing a portion of the existing road allowance be referred to the Housing Committee for consideration as a possible housing project along with other City land that is presently under review. It was noted that this item would be included as part of a report from the Housing Committee, and the report was received for information. From the Environmental Protection Committee, May 9th, 1975, advising Environ.Prot Comm. re that the Council requested the Committee to review the provisions of the Tree Cutting Tree Cutting By-law as there was some cencern that the City may be Bas incurring liability through preventing the cutting of trees that might be dangerous, and recommending an amendment that would require tree- cutting permits on all lands within the City except a parcel of real property of 7,200 square feet or less, which would effectively exempt most residential lots while Developers would require tree-cutting permits for clearing large parcels of land. Moved by Alderman Keryluk: Seconded by Alderman Ranger: That as recommended in a report from the Environmental Protection Committee, May 9th, 1975, the "City of Port Coquitlam Tree Cutting Regulation and Permit By-law, 1973, No. 1293" be amended by deleting Section 2 thereof in its entirety and inserting the following in its place:
