By JENNIFER LANG COLLEGE students planned to pro- test outside of Skeena MLA Roger Harris’ Terrace office today in a show of frustration over provincial cuts that may make it harder to get an education in the north. “We're feeling quite overwhelmed,” said Northwest Com- munity Student Association repre- sentative Karen McAthy. “I'm extremely concerned by what seems to be an attack by. this government on what’s an excellent college system in this province.” Last week NWCC president Ste- phanie Forsyth said the college is facing a $2.3 million budget shortfall due in large part to provincial cuts to a range of non-core programs. The Liberals are expected to lift a tuition freeze that's been in place at ‘past secondary institutions since it was introduced -by the NDP.
