George Marcel.

Suddenty on March 19, 1998 in White
Rock. &.C. Sadly missed by wite
Alice, song Jim and Tom (Barbara),
daughters Nancy (Gordon) Lee and
Carot (Gordon) Legga, six grandchil-
dren and nine siblings including twin
brother Arthur, and numerous nieces
and nephews, George was preda
ceased by his parents, one sister and
two brothers. Bom in Winnipeg May
14, 1924, George completed a tour of
Ops Flying with Squadron #354 FLA.
India in WWiL. George enjoyed a suc-
cessful sales career wilh Proctor &
Gamble and later with Staediie’-Mars,
retiring in 1990. He served ten years
as a public schoo! trustee in St.
Boniface, Manitoba, before moving to
BG. in 1979, He was an honorary life-
tine member of the W.R/S.4, Stoke
Recovery Club, and a lifetime member
of the Belgian Club of St, Bonilace,
Funeral Mass was held March 24,
1996 In White Rock, with interment to
follow in Winnipeg in May. Donations
to the While Rock/South Surrey
Stroke Recovery Club, 1951 -148A
Streal, Surrey, B.C, VA 6AB, grate-
fully accepted in his memory,

Cor was born in Lissa, the
Netherlands. Cor ond Jone
were married in 1951, and
the family immigrated to
Terrace in 1956,

Cor was a professional
house painter, well-known
for his good: workmanship
and honesty of character.
He loved gardening, and
hosts of tulips bloomed eve-
ry spring in his Lanfear Dr.
garden.

Cor touched many lives,
and he will be sadly missed.
