A spokesman for New Canamin said Monday drilling is currently under way on the 450-hectare claim, located on the edge of Nanika Lake about 25 kilometres northeast of Kemano. , The company says the entire budget will be spent this season in in-fill drilling, which should be complete by the end of this week. Previous exploration by Quintana Minerals in the late 1960's ident- ified what they believed to be a zone of copper and molybdenum mineralization. The indicated ore body, according to New Canamin, was 20 million tons grading .437 percent copper, .009 percent molybdenum, .006 ounces per ton of gold and .11 ounces per ton of — silver.
