Flaherty family tops local badminton open The Flaherty family walked off with the lions’ share of trophies at the annual Terrace Open Badminton Tournament on April 1 weekend at Thornhill high school. Mark, who finished second to Vancouver’s Bob Warren in the’ 4A? flight men’s singles, later. teamed with Warren to beat out Rob Baker of Prince George and Doug Jenion of Terrace in the men’s ‘A’ doubles. Mark then-joined wife Judy in defeating Dee Jenion and Warren - ' in the ‘A? mixed doubles final. Judy, who finished runnerup to Pat West of New Aiyansh in ladies’ ‘A’ singles, also paired with Fran Mann to knock off Diane Cey and West in the ladies’ ‘A’ doubles.
