That this application be approved to proceed for rezoning from RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) to RM-4 (Apartment) under Section 963 of the Municipal Act subject to: a. Completion of a design to the satisfaction of the Director of Planning} Satisfaction of Engineering Department requirements; Submission of landscaping plans to the satisfaction of the Parks and Recreation Department} Satisfaction of Building Department concerns; The project being subject to 1993 rates for Development Cost Charges; Consolidation of the properties into one lot; and g- Issuance of a Development Permit. That the Planning Department be authorized to draft Development Permit No. 39/933; and 3. That the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to sign the documents when completed subject to the conditions noted above. BACKGROUND: A Rezoning and Development Permit Application has been received for the construction of 54-unit apartment building at 1627 - 1659 Grant Avenue. The site is currently zoned RS-1 (Large Lot Residential) and is designated for “Apartment'' in the Official Community Plan.
