City Engineer Fremont Commector Sumy (Public Works Committee Meeting, July 30, 1991) That the City of Port Coquitlam appoint Urban Systems Ltd. as the City’s Consultant for the Fremont Connector Study at an estimated cost of $4,815 (including GST). 7 In order to complete the Fremont Connector into the Riverwood area, there will be ongoing negotiations with the Ministry of Transportations & Highways for funding and for connections: ‘to the Lougheed Highway. In particular, the Ministry is suggesting that the Fremont Connector be located on the east side of the Carnoustie Golf Course rather than the west side of the golf course, and that the connection of the Fremont Connector to the Lougheed Highway be postponed until after the completion of the new Pitt River Bridge crossing, near Mary Hill. To assist with the technical analysis and negotiations with the Ministry of Transportation & Highways it is proposed to use an independant transportation specialist from Urban Systems Ltd. to prepare preliminary technical report on the Fremont Connector based on an estimated cost of $4,815 (including GST)..
